About JDM/SIGLA

Juhasz Furniture was established in 1939 by Hungarian furniture designer Thomas Juhasz Sr. The Juhasz factory manufactured high-end custom furniture with exotic veneers and hand carvings. In 1979, it became a national company in the United States with its new location in Los Angeles. Over the years, the company evolved and became JDM-Juhasz Design & Manufacturing owned and managed by Paul & Tom Juhasz. JDM valued its past production traditions. Quality and personal service had always been their hallmark.
In March 2022, JDM-Juhasz Inc was acquired by Sigla Furniture Inc. Tom Juhasz, along with some of JDM’s employees, also joined Sigla Furniture to continue manufacturing JDM chairs, bar stools and designers’ custom chairs. There has always been a close cooperation with designers and specifiers in developing furniture. Today, this continues with chair manufacturing at Sigla. The custom chair department handles any type of chair and bar stool project for designers, senior living facilities and hospitality procurement companies.
Sigla has been in the furniture business since the mid 1980’s. JDM’s high end production traditions and custom specialty finishes continue as before. Sigla Furniture manufactures a majority of their Residential and Hospitality furniture here in Los Angeles. They also continue to import some of their high end chairs from abroad.
